- You will need to organize your opinions, data, facts, etc. from your primary (optional) and secondary (mandatory) sources into a visually appealing way so that it is easy to include the information in your presentation.
- You will be responsible for presenting an equal amount of time to the D.A. and her associates.
Follow the Steps Below to Complete Your Project
Step 1:
Make a list of ALL crimes committed in the witness statement (the novel). Even if you don't want to prosecute the person who committed the crime. Under each crime, list the people, entities, or groups who might be responsible for the crimes that have been committed.
Step 2:
Go to the EBSCO HOST resource to search for scholarly, peer-reviewed articles related to the crimes committed, the novel, or characters in the novel. If you have trouble with this search engine, use Google Scholar and filter your search so that you only search through scholarly articles. The reason for your search is to help determine who or what is guilty for the crimes committed that you listed previously.
Step 3:
Record the data that others have published, opinions OR facts, to help prove the guilt or innocence of the parties who were involved in the crimes.
Step 4:
Search for any ideas for primary sources that you could use to help prove the guilt or innocence of the parties who were involved in the crimes. Some primary sources would be published Blogs, Interviews, Journals/Diaries, Autobiographies, etc. Primary sources are optional, but they will help sway the D.A. in one direction or the other.
Step 5:
Record the data that others have published, opinions OR facts, to help prove the guilt or innocence of the parties who were involved in the crimes.
Step 6:
Organize the data, facts, and opinions into a visually appealing way so that it is easy to put into your final product. Use pictures, graphs, graphics, and other visual tools to help the D.A. and her associates better read and understand the results. You are making a ROUGH DRAFT that will be organized into a final product.
Step 7:
Help your technology expert organize your information into the final product.
Step 8:
Complete the self-evaluation by grading your final product using the rubric. Make sure you give REASONS why you score each section the way you score it!
Step 9:
Discuss with the group where you marked your presentation down and why. Discuss what you can do to improve your presentation. Revise your presentation to improve your score.
Step 10:
Present for an equal amount of time to the D.A. and her associates.
